Has Maj. Roland Kakooza Mutale turned into a brass band leader? True, it seems!
The controversial special presidential advisor on political affairs, whose claim to fame is his alleged raking of the whip onto the buttocks of the anti-Museveni peopel during the 2001 presidential campaigns, nowadays leads a band to entertain His Excellency and his supporters wherever campaigns are.
In Busoga multitudes scrambled to glance at the bad boy. Mutale was unbothered as he accompanied his team of lads and lasses to the child district —Manafwa where his band yet again did wonders.
Clad in yellow NRM attire right from the baseball cap to his pair of trousers, the jovial commander of Kalangala Action Plan (KAP) beckoned the Bamasaba to join in the music as his group banged drums, blew trumpets, saxophones and played all kinds of percussion instruments.
His assemblage were smart in yellow T-shirts with ‘KAP/CEDO' emblazoned at the back but also the some of the big drums had words ‘Bristol Academy Brass Band’ written on.
Looking at him relish the sound of music, it came crystal clear what the aging Major meant when he was first shown on WBS saying him and KAP were going to unleash –he meant unleash the boom-boom of band music in this election time!
